& The Audacity

This Friday, December 5th

@ CITY LIMITS

9:00p.m. - 12:midnight

DON'T MISS THIS PERFORMANCE!  This could quite possibly be one of our last performances as a "cover" band, although we do anticipate performing in this "cover" incarnation for charity functions and corporate events.

Here's what you can expect Friday...

First set of music: 8 of your fave 70's Disco songs, followed by 8 of your favorite New Wave 80's tunes...ALL IN FULL COSTUME!

Second set of music: 5 originals for your review, followed by a tribute set to both Prince & Madonna...

Third set of music: A mish-mosh of high energy dance tunes and new originals!

WHAT'S UP?: The focus has shifted to working on the next CD...so I'm writing new song material, and in the process of purchasing a full-on home recording studio. A few new originals will be presented this Friday...others will remain in our secret bat cave until a VERY big show in late-January.

THE WORKER BEES: I've been fortunate enough to collaborate with several Tucson songwriters recently, including Hank Topless (of Topless Opry), Scott Robb (former lead singer of Drive) and Doug Hough (a songwriter who now resides in Nashville). There are several other songwriters that I'll be working with in the very near future...

UPCOMING CD: Mix 1/2 cup of John Mellencamp with 1/2 cup of Chris Issak, then blend with 2 tablespoons of Sheryl Crow and a dash of Melissa Etheridge. Bake at 450 degrees for 6 months and you should get a tasty alt-blues-country-ROCK dish full of great story lines, strong emotions, wit, charm and humor. After such a lengthy wait, hopefully we'll all like the way it tastes. THE PLAN is to write and record through Spring, 2004...and have a CD delivered to YOU in Summer, 2004.

SPEAKING OF SUMMER: So there are all of these killer weekend summer festivals around the country during the summer, and that's what I'm hoping to do this summer...perform out and about...starting with the Tempe Music Festival in early April, Charlotte's CityFest in late April, Charlotte's Speed Streets Festival over Memorial Day weekend, The Rock 'n Roll Marathon in San Diego in early June, Milwaukee's Summer Music Fest over July 4th and the Virginia Beach Marathon over Labor Day weekend. I'm working on these summer plans NOW...I'll keep you posted.

GOAL?: To be a working singer/songwriter. Period. No big record deal. No big Rock-Star image. Just writing, recording and performing. That's it!!!

My goal is to release this CD, develop my own music publishing and CD distribution company, and work for ME! Many independent artists are making as much, and sometimes more, money than some artists with major label deals and appear on CMT, MTV, VH1 or receive tons of radio airplay. You've all seen "Behind The Music" on VH-1, right? I've been beyond fortunate to be a working musician for the last ten years...now it's time to take things to the next level.... move forward and go for it!

So there you have it...you're almost all caught up...more details to come...how's things with YOU?

HAPPY HOLIDAYS...here's wishing you a fabulous holiday season full of love and safe travels...
